Exams are almost over, and you might be thinking about what the future holds. Something exciting? Perhaps some travel? A way to have an amazing life experience which also has a positive impact on your studies and employability?ITURRIAGA - Photo

Can you imagine studying under the Eiffel Tower in Paris, seeing the northern lights in Sweden, experience karaoke at its best in Korea, or learning in the second most biodiverse country in the world, Colombia?

Now is the time to think about going on exchange! The Part 1 deadline for exchange in Semester 2, 2017 has just been extended to Thursday 1 December so you still have time to get your application in. Most of our 150 partners around the world teach in English, and an exchange should not extend your degree, so why wait!

Funding is available via the La Trobe Mobility Grant and the Government OS-HELP Loan (for eligible students). So follow these easy steps to get started on your application today…

  1. Research where to go. Check out our partners, visit us in the Global Lounge or send us an email with the name of your course and we can help!
  2. Check with La Trobe subjects you need to find matches for. You can access your course structure on Student Online to make this easier. TIP: if you can use your electives for exchange – this gives you lots a freedom with the subjects you take.
  3. Complete your Study Plan and print the host university subject descriptions
    1. For SHE College students – speak to your Course Coordinator directly for subject approvals
    2. For ASSC College students – submit your Study Plan and subject descriptions to the Global Lounge for subject approvals
  4. Begin working on Part 2 and the supporting documents
