Pam DeLargy has spent twenty years engaged in UN humanitarian response, with particular attention to the needs of women and adolescents in emergency and conflict settings, and served in numerous countries in Africa and the Middle East. Most recently, she was Senior Advisor to the U.N. Special Representative for Migration, focusing primarily on policy responses to the cross-Mediterranean migration to Europe. Her graduate training was in political science and public health and she is a specialist on the Horn of Africa, having spent many years living and working in Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Sudan.
