Out For Australia – mentoring program for LGBTIQ students

Why you should I apply

The program aims to equip aspiring LGBTIQ professionals with information, skills, contacts and role models to make their transition from university into the workplace easier. We encourage mentees to set personal and professional goals and a network of mentors to assist them to achieve those goals.

Who can apply

Mentees are LGBTIQ people who are current students, recent graduates and young professionals aspiring to pursue a career in a broad range of professional industries. They welcome applicants from all professional industries.

Mentors are LGBTIQ people and their allies whom are more established professionals.

Time commitment

The program is designed around a commitment of one year. Mentors are encouraged to connect, either by phone or in person, at least every quarter. Their networking and community events provide a convenient forum for mentors and mentees to touch base with each other and meet other members of the Out for Australia network.
