Interested in a unique educational experience in China? Enrolments are open for the 2018 Australia-China Student Forum (ACSF) Chongqing program!
The ACSF is jointly organised by La Trobe University, through the Confucius Institute, and Chongqing University. The forum is designed to give a balanced view on a specific issue for both Chinese and Australian students as well as gaining insight into their respective cultures. We will send up to 20 La Trobe students to Chongqing University in China to participate in the program from 28 November to 12 December 2018. During this period, you will take part in a series of academic and cultural activities.
The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) will provide funding to cover all the in-country program costs, including accommodation, meals, seminars, in-country language courses, visits, excursions and program related group local transportation. You may also be eligible to apply for a Mobility Grant to assist with participating in the program. 2018 ACSF will also be funded by The New Colombo Plan Scholarship Program of Australian Government. Eligible students will be able to get $2000 grant from the New Colombo Plan on top of the Hanban Scholarship.
The theme of this year’s program is “Understanding the history of Australians’ early encounters with China, and particularly learning the legacy of George Morrison’s and Fredric Eggleston’s visits in Chongqing.
